يحتل كتاب الشقيق الأصغر للكاتب، ميخائيل بافلوفيتش تشيخوف (مع أنطون تشيخوف) الصادر في عام 1932 والذي صار قطعة بيبلوغرافية نادرة، يحتل موضعاً مميزاً في مجال أدب الذكريات الواسع. إنه ذكريات واحد من أقرب رفاق درب الكاتب الروسي العظيم. وقد أمضى المؤلف ثلاثة عقود في حالة من العشرة اليومية الوثيقة مع أنطون تشيخوف وأمام عيني ميخائيل بافلوفيتش تدفق عمله الأدبي وجرت أحداث ولقاءات مشهودة.
