هذا الكتاب يتناول موضوعين في غاية الأهمية ألا وهما التحكيم والتصالح، ويشتبه هذان الموضوعان بأن كلاً منهما يقصد به حسم الخصومة دون اللجوء إلى القضاء ودون استصدار حكم قضائي لكن التحكيم يختلف عن التصالح اختلافاً بيناً.
ويتناول الكتاب أيضاً شرح القانون رقم 27 لسنة 1994 بخصوص التحكيم وكذلك تناول بعض التشريعات العربية والدولية بخصوص هذا الموضوع. كذلك تناول التحكيم في منازعات العمي الجماعية، وفي قانون سوق رأس المال وفي الجمارك وفي ضريبة المبيعات، وفي عقد النقل البحري، ومنازعات الأحوال الشخصية، وكذلك التحكيم بخصوص بورصة البضاعة الحاضرة للأقطان والتحكيم في قانون قطاع الأعمال العام رقم 203 لسنة 1991 وكذلك التحكيم في الشريعة الإسلامية هذا عن القسم الأول. أما القسم الثاني فيتناول موضوع التصالح سواء في التقنين المدني وفي قوانين المباني، وفي المنازعات الإدارية، وفي قانون الجمارك، وفي جرائم التعامل بالنقد الأجنبي، وقانون النظافة العامة، وفي قانون المرور، وكذلك نظام الصلح في الضرائب والصلح في القانون التجاري.
