تعمل مجلة الثقافة النفسية المتخصصة على تقديم أفضل مستوى ممكن من الإحاطة بمستجدات الاختصاص في كافة فروع العلوم النفسية محاولة بذلك الاستجابة لحاجات المتخصصين والمهتمين خصوصاً بعد تداخل تطبيقات الاختصاص مع مختلف فروع العلوم الإنسانية. وذلك من خلال إطلاع القارئ على اتجاهات البحوث العالمية وتعريفه بأخبار ومستجدات هذه البحوث وعبر بعض الترجمات المفيدة. أما بالنسبة للبحوث العربية فإن المجلة تسعى لتقديم كافة الدراسات والبحوث الرصينة والمسايرة للمستجدات وللحاجات الفعلية لمجتمعنا العربي.
والعدد الذي بين أيدينا من المجلة هو الخامس والخمسون وهو صادر في تموز/يوليو 2003، ويناقش موضوعاً أساسياً هو سيكولوجية الحروب العربية، كما ويناقش العدد موضوعات أخرى لا تقل أهمية عن موضوع العدد الأساسي وهذه الموضوعات تتراوح ما بين السياسية والنفسية والصحية والعلوم الإنسانية. هذا بالإضافة لمضمون مقابلة أجريت مع مؤلف كتاب الحروب النفسية في العراق الدكتور محمد أحمد النابلسي، وتحدث فيها عن مضمون كتابه كما ويتضمن العدد عدداً من القراءات النقدية والتحليلية لبعض الكتب السياسية والنفسية وأمثال كتاب الثلاثاء الأسود، خلفية الهدم على الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، يهود يكرهون أنفسهم، ومن أبرز عناوين هذا العدد نذكر: ثورة المجنون، المدرسة النفسية العربية، التعاطف من الإحساس بالآخر، سيكولوجية الحرب النفسية الأميركية، بكاء أفهمه وبكاء لا أفهمه الشخصية العراقية، هموم الاختصاص...
