إن تحديد النسل وتنظيمه بإتباع وسائل المنع من الحمل مما يلتجئ إليه معظم الأزواج في مجتمعاتنا المعاصرة بدواع مختلفة، صحية وتربوية واقتصادية وغيرها، والدراسة التي بين يدي القارئ تتناول بالبحث الاستدلالي موقف الشريعة الإسلامية المقدسة من استخدام وسائل المنع من الحمل المتاحة في العصر الراهن، والأثر شيوعاً وتداولاً والأشد فاعلية منها هي: العزل بالطريقة التقليدية أو باستخدام العازل الذكري، الحبوب (الأقراص)، اللولب، غلق الأنابيب التناسلية، ويقع البحث عن هذه الوسائل في أبواب أربعة، ويضاف إليها باب خامس في حكم الإجهاض الذي تلقي إليه بعض النساء للتخلص من الحمل غير المرغوب فيه، فيعدّد وسيلة أخرى من وسائل المنع من الإنجاب.
