البحث محاولة متواضعة تهدف إلى تحديد معنى "الترانسندنسى" أو العلو عند فريدريش نيتشه, كما تهدف بصفة أساسية إلى قراءة الفليسوف قراءة صحيحة تستبعد كل المفاهيم الخاطئة التى ألصقت بفكره.. فإذا كانت الميتافيزيقا- وهى من مباحث الفلسفية الأساسية- علوا أو ترانسندنس فهل إشتملت فلسفة نيتشه على فكرة العلو؟ أو بعبارة أخرى هل كان نيتشه أسيراً للميتافيزيقا فى الوقت الذى أعلن فيه رفضه الصريح لها؟, أما التساؤلات التالية فهى التى تحدد طبيعة المشكلة العلمية موضوع البحث:
س1: إذا كانت المذاهب المعروفة فى تاريخ الفلسفية لا تنطبق تمام الإنطباق على فلسفة نيتشه, فهل يمكننا العثور على تعريف "جامع مانع" لمذهب يستوعب فلسفته بأسرها؟
س2: إذا لم يكن الإنسان الأعلى هو الإنسان الدارونى, ولا الوحش الأشقر الذى روجت له النازية والفاشية, وإذا لم تكن إرادة القوة هى إرادة المزيد من الحروب والدمار, وإذا لم يكن موت الأله إتهاماً صريحاً لنيتشه بالإلحاد- فما هلا- إذن- القراءة الصحيحة لأفكار الإنسان الأعلى أو الديونيزيوسى وإرادة القوة وموت الأله؟
س3: هل يعد مصطلح العلو مصطلحاً حاضراً أم غائباً فى فلسفة نيتشه؟
س4: وإذا كان مصطلح العلو حاضراً فى فلسفة نيتشه, فهل هو حضور تقليدى يتفق مع المفاهيم التقليدية للعلو فى تاريخ الفلسفة الغربية؟
س5: ماهى السمات النوعية لفلسفة العلو عند نيتشه؟
س6: ماهى السمة العامة التى تفردت بها فلسفة العلو عند نيتشه؟
ونحاول فى سياق البحث الإجابة على هذه التساؤلات, أما عن المنهج الذى أتبعنا خطوات فى هذا البحث فهو المنهج "التحليلى التركيبى التاريخى".
