يا لهُ من شعور جميل، حينما أبعثُ بآهات الحنين من بلد الغربة، وأكتب سطوراً من الذكريات في أرض البعثة، وأدوّن كلمات من وحي التجربة، فالأيام تمرّ سريعاً، وفي ثناياها العديد من التجارب والمشاهدات في تفاصيل الحياة الغربية... هذه التجارب لا يكفي تخزينها في الذاكرة فلربما درّجتها رياح الأيام... ودحرجتها المصائب والآلام... وشتَّتها برد الحنين، لذلك بدأت في كتابتها وتدوينها...
يقال أنّ (لدى كل إنسان قصة تستحق أن تُروى)... في سبع سنين قضيتها في إنجلترا من عام 2008 راودتني أفكار في الكتابة عما يدور حولي إما في مدينة نوتنغهام في قلب إنجلترا حيث درست اللغة الإنجليزية أو في مانشستر حيثُ كانت أغلب أحداث الكتاب. أردتُ فقط أن تنتقل هذه التجارب والحكايا من أغوار الذاكرة ومنابع الروح إلى تصرفات الناس وحياتهم في عالمنا العربي، حرصت على أن تلامس كلماتي قضية ذات معنىً.
حرصتُ بأن يكون الكتاب للمبتعثين ولغير المبتعثين كذلك، أمزجُ فيه بين المتعة والفائدة... كتبتُ بعبارات مفتوحة تتيح للقارئ حرية المشاركة في تحليل الكلام وتفسيره... جرّبتُ سرد الحكايا واليوميات، ولربما ليستُ وشاح الحكمة في وصف التجارب والمشاهدات... كتبتُ حكاياتٍ صاغ بطولتها روّاد الليل في بعض المغامرات!! ولربما امتطيتُ صهوة الشعر والأدب في وصف الريف البريطاني والطبيعة الخلابة!!...
