أدب رامي أدب قوة فهو أصدق مثال للأدب المستمد من أعماق النفس ومن وحي الخيال تعلوه روح مصرية واضحة ورامي قاهري صميم عرف الأزقة والحارات ومن ثم صور الحب ومشاعر الشعب بمصريته ودمه وزجله زجل بلدي صميم هذه قصة شاعر رومانسي شعبي مصري انتقل من مروج النرجس في جزيرة يونانية إلى الحياة بين القبور ثم إلى مجامع المتصوفين ثم الى معاشرة الخيام تحت أضواء باريس ثم إلى جنة أم كلثوم التي عشق صوتها ومن وحيه صاغ أجمل أشعاره فقد أعطت حنجرة أم كلثوم لأشعار رامي ذلك الرنين الموسيقي الشجي فكان شأنهما معًا كالبحر يمطره السحاب كما كان الحال مع شوقي وعبد الوهاب كانوا في عصر شوقي يقولون إنه ولد ليكون موسيقارًا فصار شاعرًا ولكنهم لم يدركوا أن الشعر هو الموسيقى وأن الموسيقى هي الشعر ومحمد عبد الوهاب شاعر لأنه موسيقي ولولا شاعريته ما استطاع أن يصل إلى أنغامه وألحانه. فالشيء الذي جمع بين عبد الوهاب وشوقي هو الشيء نفسه الذي جمع بين أم كلثوم ورامي إنه النغم أو هو الشعر حيث لا شعر بغير نغم ولا نغم بغير شعر.
