Book Description
وقد تكلم بعض الحكماء، لا سيما المتأخرون منهم، فى وصف الاستبداد ودوائه بجمل بليغة بديعة تصور فى الأذهان شقاء الإنسان، كأنها تقول له هذا عدوك فأنظر ماذا تصنع، ومن هذه الجمل قولهم:
المستبد: يتحكم فى شؤون الناس بإرادته لا بإرادتهم، ويحكمهم بهواه لا بشرعيتهم، ويعلم من نفسه أنه الغاصب المتعدى فيضع كعب رجله على أفواه الملايين من الناس يسدها عن المنطق بالحق والتداعى لمطالبيه.
المستبد: عدو الحق، عدو الحرية وقاتلها، والحق أبو البشر، والحرية أمهم، والعوام صبية أيتام لا يعلمون شيئاً، والعلماء إخواتهم الراشدين، إن أيقظوهم هبوا، وإن دعوهم لبوا، وإلا فيتصل نومهم بالموت.
المستبد: يتجاوزالحد ما لم ير حاجزاً من حديد، فلو رأى الظالم على جنب المظلوم سيفاً لما أقدم على الظلم، كما يقال: الاستعداد للحرب يمنع الحرب
المستبد: إنسان مستعد بالطبع للشر وبالإلجاء للخير، فعلى الرعية أن تعود ما هو الخير وما هو الشر، فتلجئ حاكمها للخير رغم طبعه، وقد يكفى اللإلجاء مجرد الطلب إذا علم الحاكم أن وراء القول فعلاً، ومن المعلوم أن مجرد الاستعداد للفعل فعل يكفى شر الاستبداد.
المستبد: يود أن تكون رعيته كالغنم دراً وطاعة، وكالكلاب تذللاً تملقاً، وعلى الرعية أن تكون كالخيل إن خُدمت خدمت، وإن ضربت شرست، وعليها أن تكون كالصقور لا تلاعب ولا يستأثر عليها بالصيد كله، خلافاً للكلاب التى لا فرق عندها أطعمت أو حرمت حتى من العظام، نعم، على الرعية أن تعرف مقامها: هل خلقت خادمة لحاكمها، تطيعه أن عدل أو جار، وخلق هو ليحكمها كيف شاء بعدل أو اعتساف؟ أم هى جاءت به ليخدمها لا يستخدمها؟.. والرعية العاقلة تقيد وحش الاستبداد بزمام تستميت دون بقائه فى يدها، لتأمن من بطشه، فإن شمخ هزت به الزمام وإن صال ربطته.
انه صرخة فليسوف مؤمن، عالم متألم، يكشف أخطر داء يمكن أن يصيب شعباً من الشعوب، ويصف له الدواء الشافعى محاولاً عدمة بتر أى عضو من أعضاء الجسم، فهو كما بقول: كلمات الحق، وصيحة فى واد، إن ذهبت اليوم مع الريح، قد تذهب غداً بالأوتاد.. فيا ليت قومى يعقلون.
