برغم أنها-كما قال صاحبها-مقالات قد تفرقت بها السبل بين الفلسفة والشعر، إلا أن الدكتور لطفي عبد البديع ما زال يطور في الربط بين الفلسفة والأدب، الذي بدأه منذ "التركيب اللغوي للأدب" فـ "الشعر واللغة" فـ "عبقرية العربية"، ثم "فلسفة المجاز" وأخيراً يتوج هذا الجهد بـ "ميتافيزيقا اللغة" ليثبت من خلاله أن اللغة يؤول إليها الشعر، كما تؤول إليها الفلسفة، لأن كليهما نشاط لغوي، ومن ثم يبقى الوجود اللغوي مقدماً على ما عداه، وهو ما أطلق عليه ميتافيزيقا اللغة، التي تؤول إلى الأشكال اللغوي وهكذا يظل على الميتافيزيقا فقط أن تخرج من أزمتها التي تحكمت بها، وتجيب عن سؤال ظل يطاردها منذ النشأة، ألا وهو، ما معنى الوجود؟
