أخي الحبيب، أيها القارئ الكريم، أعلم هداك الله بهداه، وأرشدك إلى طاعته وتقواه أننا تعبنا تعباً لا يوصف حتى نحصل علم القراءات، ولم يكن أحد من مشايخنا الاجلاء الفضلاء يشرح شرحاً سهلاً مبسطاً كهذا الذي ستراه في هذا الكتاب، ألفاظ سهلة، وعبارات جزلة، وكلمات واضحة نيرة، جزى الله كاتبها خيراً، والكتاب الذي بين يديك، فاقرأه بعناية واستخرج لآلئه، فإن كنت من أهل فن القراءات فستوصي به غيرك وتشد على يديه أن يقتنيه.
لقد حوى هذا الكتاب الأسانيد التي أدت إلينا هذه القراءات، ولولا الإسناد لقال من شاء ما شاء، وقد قال ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما حين اختلط الحابل بالنابل "سموا لنا رجالكم" ثم تكلم عن التحريرات وأهميتها حتى نعرف ما يجوز أن يقرأ به، وما لا يجوز، وكيفية جمع القراءات، وهو أمر في غاية الأهمية، ثم فك ألغاز الشاطبية والدرة، وحل مشكلاتهما، تلك التي قد تعترض القارئ فيحار فيها أو يقف عندها طويلاً، ثم تكلم عن التحريرات الخاصة بالآيات القرآنية في القرآن كله.
