"قد صرت في يومي رفيق كتابي وغدوت أدعو للعلا أحبابي وزرعت دربي بالورد وبالرياحين الزكية والشذى الخلاب، وقصدت جامعتي وقلبي مفعم بالعزم يعلو للذرى بشبابي، دونت ما يلقى على وخلتني سأحقق الآمال مثل السراب، يختال عبر الأفق شيئاً خادعاً سأحيله عملاً فسيح رحاب كي ينهض التعساء من قومي اللذين تعذبوا بالذل والإرهاب. كي ينهض التعساء من قومي الذين استضعفوا من أبيض فتغابي داس الكرامة واستباح دماءنا بالنار والأظفار والأنياب، من أجل هذا الفارق استنكفت أن تحتك بي من أجل لون إهابي؟ أتراه دنس لونك الصافي فصرت محاذراً تنأى عن استصحابي؟ أرتاه يؤذي ناظريك إذا احتوانا مقعد فمضيت نحو الباب؟ ورميتني شذرا وأنفك في السماء تمادياً في الكبر والإعجاب وتفر كالملدوغ ماذا قد دهاك؟ خسئت يا مغرور... تحقر ما بي؟ والله قد سواك من جنسي كلاما واحد في الأصل والأنساب".
