هذا الديوان هو ديوان ابن نباته المصرى ت 768 هـ الذى وصفه بعضهم بأنه أشعر المتأخرين. ولقبه غيرهم بـ(أميرة شعراء المشرق). لقد شارك ابن نباتة في كل أغراض الشعر التى شهدها عصره، فمدح ،ورثى، وتغزل، وأنشد في الخمر، وصنع الألغز والأحاجى، كما أنشأ الموشحات. وشمل مديحه مدح الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم ومدائح الحكام، وجاء نسبيه رقياً يفيض شوقاً إلى محبوبه، حافلاً بأوصافه، وجاءت فكاهته متمشية مع الروح المصرية الأصلية التى تسرى في نسيج هذا الفن. كما وصف النيل وفيضانه والاحتفال بوفائه، ووصف- كذلك - معالم مصر: المقطم والأهرام والروضة والجزيزة والمقياس.. إلخ. أما اسلوب وصناعته الشعرية فقد استرعت انتباه دراسيه وإعجابهم.
