في كتابه "الربيع العربي .. ثورة أم فوضى (غير) خلاّقه" يقدم الدكتور عبد الحي زلوم قراءته السياسية لثورات العالم العربي في أكثر من بلد عربي، قامت فيه، ودور أمريكا والغرب في هذه الثورات.
وفي هذا السياق يقدم المؤلف بعض ما كتبه كبار الكتّاب العالميين خصوصاً ذوي الإطلاع الواسع من النواحي البحثية وبعض أولئك من الذين تبوأوا مراكز قيادية في الولايت المتحدة ومنهم من عمل في بعض مراكز القرار الأمريكي مثل مجلس الأمن القومي وغيرهم من الباحثين في هذا الحقل من كتّاب وصحفيين عاملين في كبريات الصحف العالمية والعربية أدلوا دلوهم في ثورات الربيع العربي. أما عن رأيه في الثورات العربية يكتب عبد الحي زلوم قائلاً: إن الإنتفاضات، ولا أقول الثورات، التي شهدتها العديد من الدول العربية منذ سنة 2011 لم تفجرها الولايات المتحدة كما يظن البعض مع أنها حاولت وما تزال تحاول احتواءها وتجييرها إلى صالحها وفق الخطة (B) والتي تكون جاهزة في إدراج الامبراطوريات. ونحن إذ لا نتهم أحداً بالعمالة إلا أننا قد نتهم البعض بضيق الأفق وغياب الفهم الإستراتيجي لما يدور حولهم أو بواسطتهم من حيث يعلمون ولا يعلمون (...).
أما الخلاصة التي خرج بها الكاتب فهي: " ... أنا أقول بأن هناك نظاماً عالمياً رأسمالياً في مرحلة احتضار، ونظاماً عالمياً جديداً يتشكل هذه الأيام، وعالمنا العربي والإسلامي هو أحد أكبر وأخطر مسارح صراعاته. لن يكون الوليد الجديد بمواصفات واشنطن ولا غيرها من القوى المتصارعة، وسيأتي من رحم قانون العواقب غير المحسوية. أما ما يُقال عن الحرية والديمقراطية فكلمة حق أريد بها باطل لا يصدقها سوى البلهاء".

هذا، وقد اختار الكاتب لكل عنوان من تلك العناوين الآنفة الذكر ما كتبه النقاد والباحثون والصحافيون بما يتلاءم وموضع الفصل توثيقاً مع التعليق عليه.
