هو صاحب المدرسة الخاصة به فى الكتابة للسينما، هو فيها أحد الأساتذة الكبار، ومن حقه أن نسميها بإسمه أى مدرسة وحيد حامد وهي المدرسة التى تنطلق من مشاكل الواقع وهموم العصر الذى نعيش فيه، كما أنها مدرسة يدها فى النار وهى لاتعرف الخوف أو الإرتعاش في التصوير والتفسير والتحليل و الوصول إلى جوهر الأمور، ولا تعرف الإكتفاء بالإشارات والرموز، يضاف إلي ذلك كله عند وحيد حامد، وهو الكاتب الغارق في الواقعية أنه أمير فى فنه ولذلك فهو يعرف كيف يكون شاعرا وكيف يكسو أعقد الموضوعات والمشكلات بثوب من حرير الفن الناعم الجميل، فالسينما مثل اى فن أخر تسقط مهما كانت النيات حسنة إذا فقدت قدرتها علي الإمتاع، فلا يوجد أبدا فى الفن إفناع بدون إمتاع ومن يريد أن يقنعنا بفكرة من الفكار لابد أن تكون لديه جاذبية وقدرة على أن يمتعنا بصدقه وإخلاصه، و ذوقه وإحساسه، أما إذا كان فظا غليظ القلب، فلا مفر من أن نبتعد عنه، ونسحب الثقة منه ولا نصدقه أبدا. لم اجد افضل من هذا المفتتح لكتاب يتحدث عن الكاتب السينمائى وحيد حامد.
