وذلك من خلال أربعة أبواب هي: (الخدمة الاجتماعية كمهنة، الطرق المهنية للخدمة الاجتماعية، اتجاهات حديثة في الخدمة الاجتماعية، النظرية والنموذج في الخدمة الاجتماعية).
ويعد هذا الكتاب محاولة للمؤلف لتقديم إضافة علمية لما كتب عن الخدمة الاجتماعية داعياً المولي عز وعلا أن يحقق النفع المرجو منه.
