إن هذه الدراسة تتناول موضوع الإنتاج العلمي في الأندلس، في عهد ملوك الطوائف. سنرى من خلال هذا البحث العوامل التي جعلت عصر ملوك الطوائف يفوق عصر الخلافة من حيث النشاط العلمي، ومدى التطوّر الذي حدث في هذا العصر في شتّى ميادين العلوم، ومن هم الشخصيات الذين كان لهم الأثر الكبير في التقدم العلمي في هذا العصر، وأثر تعدد المراكز الحضارية في عهد ملوك الطوائف في الازدهار العلمي، ودور الملوك في هذا التطوّر. ويلقي هذا البحث الضوء على المرأة الأندلسية وتميّزها في الأندلس ومكانتها العالية في المجتمع. وسبب النهضة النسائية العارمة التي حفلت بها الأندلس منذ عهد ملوك الطوائف والذي أدّى بالتالي إلى ازدياد الازدهار العلمي في هذا العصر، والعلوم التي ساهمت وبرزت فيها المرأة الأندلسية.
