إنّ النص القرآني بعد عصر النبي محمد (صلى الله عليه وآله) والصحابة قد حفّت به مجمل من الرؤى والإتجاهات فكلٌّ نظر إليه بما يراه مذهبه الفقهي أو العقدي أو بما تراه ذاته، وهنا سيقع الإختلاف في الكشف عن المعنى وتوجيه الدلالة للنص القرآني، وقد جمع لنا التراث الإسلامي فيضاً من الدراسات اللغوية والأصولية والعقدية والتفسيرية للقرآن الكريم وقد حُشِيَتْ بتلك الأفكار والرؤى، فمرة تجدها متآلفة متفقة وفي أخرى متفرقة، ولعلّ إفتراقها عن بعضها وإختلافها في كشف المعنى للنص القرآني أوسع وأكبر من تلاقيها.
لقد شكّل هذا الإفتراق والإختلاف في فهم دلالة النص القرآني ومعناه إشكالية كبرى شغلت الفكر العربي - الإسلامي عَبرْ عصور التأسيس وما بعدها، ولعلّ تعدّد الرؤى في إتجاه النص القرآني وفهم معانيه والأخذ به ظاهراً أو مأوّلاً قد عملت على تكتّل بعض هذه الرؤى إلى بعضها فقهاً وأصولاً وعقيدةً فأدّت إلى ظهور المذاهب الفقهية والكلامية وتعدّدها، وربمّا كفّر بعضُهمُ بعضَهمُ الآخر، لذلك شكلّت هذه الآراء والمقولات إتجاه النص القرآني نمطاً فكرياً مؤثراً على فكر المتلقيّ فأصبحت قوة كبرى فاعلة، ثم استقامت سلطةٌ موجِّهةٌ لجماعات كبيرة في المجتمع العربي والإسلامي وهذا ممّا قادني إلى أن أجعل من هذه السلطة عنواناً للدراسة فسميتها (النص القرآني وسلطة التراث - دراسة في تقريب المعنى وتوجيهه عند المسلمين في عصر التأسيس)، ثم أنّ هذا الإختلاف في فهم النصّ القرآني وما آل إليه من ظهور الفِرَق الإسلامية وتنافرها وإبتعادها عن بعضها قادني إلى البحث في أسباب هذه المشكلة التي شغلت الفكر الإسلامي منذ عصر التأسيس وما بعدها.
