المعلم (أومرام - ميخائيل - ايفانهوف) - فيلسوف ومعلم، من أصل (بلغاري) - وفد إلى فرنسا - في ريعان شبابه، وبالرغم من أن كتابه يخوض في عدة مسائل، وظواهر - للعلم في أساسياته، فإنه يؤكد: (على كل إنسان أن يعمل تطوير ذاته، بشرط أن لا يكون الهدف الرئيس هو ذاته، ونفسه فقط، ولكن، للنفع العام، وتحديداً، لصالح المجموعة.
ففي هذه اللحظة، نلاحظ أن المجموعة تتحول لتصبح (أخوة)، والأخوة تصبح هي المجموعة، حيث يخيم التلاحم، والتعاضد، والوئام.
أما بالنسبة للحالة الأولى، فإن العمل المبذول لصالح النفس والذات فقط، لوحظ أن الفرد يعمل باللاشعور - لصالح ومنفعة الجميع.
وكتابنا هذا، يتحدث عن الحياة اليومية فيشبهها بأنها كالتيار الجارف الذي يحملك ويدفعك دون أن يتوفر عندك الوقت، والإمكانية - لوقفة تفكير - لرؤية إلى أين أنت تسير، ولهذا فإن تترك لنفسك أن تلتف وتتشرنق بكل أنواع الإرتباطات والإلتزامات النشاطية، وفي الوهلة الأولى تبدو لك بأنها مقبولة ومعقولة ولا بأس بهذا، ولكن بعد فترة من الوقت تلاحظ بأنك قد أضعت الكثير من الوقت والجهد والطاقة للقليل من النتائج.
وهذا لا يعني إطلاقاً بأنه لا يجب عليك إعارة الإهتمام لأي شيء، خارج الحياة الروحية، فكل نشاط إنساني يمكن أن يكون نافعاً وصالحاً، ولكن يشترط أن يكون قريباً جداً من المُثل العليا، وبالتحديد قريباً من الفلسفة الآلهية، ويمكن تمثيل ذلك بأنك لو كنت معلقاً بحبل متين وقوي ومربوط بشكل جيد، فإنه يصبح بإمكانك الأرجحة في كل الإتجاهات.
ولكن إذا كانت العقيدة غير متينة، أو أن الحبل مهترئ، فمن الممكن جداً أن تقع وأن تكسر في جسدك عضواً.
إذاً، نعود للتأكيد على أهمية الرباط، وهذا الرباط يتطاول ليصل إلى السماء، وطالما كنت محافظاً على هذا الرباط، بين نفسك وبين السماء (بمعنى المثل العليا للخير) فإن كل نشاطاتك وأفعالك، وردود أفعالك، ستحمل إليك شيئاً ما من الخير والفائدة الممتازة.
