ع 1 - تليفون لك يا أستاذ عباس تعجبت أن يتصل بي أحد هنا لأنني أعمل بالشركة منذ ثلاثة أيام، فمن يعرف مكاني؟ - نعم أنا عباس. - محمد عبد الله اعتقلوه. شعرت بضيق شديد، وقرف أشد. أما الخوف فلم يكن من المعتقل – فقد جربته منذ أيام الجامعة – لكن خوفي الحقيقي كان على الوظيفة التي حصلت عليها بصعوبة شديدة جداً، وبعد وساطات واختبارات ومقابلات، ولأنني في فترة اختبار فإذا اعتقلت سيتم الاستغناء عنى في الحال. اتصلت بالبيت. ردت على أميرة. فقلت لها تحضر لي حقيبتي لأني مضطر للتغيب عن البيت لعدة أيام. وإذا سأل أحد علي، قولوا أن أبى طردني من المنزل، وأنكم لا تعلمون عنى شيئاً، وحددت لها مكان اللقاء في الرابعة والنصف. لم أستطع أن أكمل يوم العمل بذهن يمكنه أن يستوعب أي شيء، إذ كان يجب على أن أتعلم أشياء كثيرة، ولم أستطع أن أستعيد علاقتي بمحمد عبد الله وبالجماعة كلها – لذلك انتظرت طويلاً الساعة الرابعة لأترك الشركة، وأنطلق سيراً على الأقدام إلى لقاء أميرة، وأنا أعيد التأمل في كل الأحداث الماضية بداية من السنة الأولى بالجامعة وكيفية انضمامي – في أول أيام الدراسة – للجماعة الإسلامية.
