لقد سعينا في هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن مظاهر إنسراب المواقف الفكرية والآراء المذهبية في ثنايا الرسالة البلاغية التي توخى ابن قتيبة توصيلها إلى مخاطبيه من خلال نصوصه النثرية.
ومن هنا، كان هذا البحث يمثل مسعى صاحبه إلى قراءة تراث ابن قتيبة النثري قراءة بلاغية نسقية بوصفه نصاً واحداً جمعاً، مترابط الأجزاء في مستوى القول والخطاب، موحد المرامي في مستوى الغايات والمقاصد.
ذلك أن تدقيق النظر في نصوص ابن قتيبة النثرية يكشف عن كونها جارية إلى تحقيق غايات فكرية عقدية وأخرى خلقية إجتماعية، مما استلزم فحصها وتحليلها في ضوء المقصدية الإيديولوجية التي افترضنا توجيهها وتحليلها في ضوء المقصدية الإيديولوجية التي افترضنا توجيهها لبلاغة هذا النثر؛ فالنظر المتأمل يكشف أن الأفكار والآراء التي انطوت عليها النصوص النثرية دائرة في فلك العقيدة السنية، حيث تم إسقاط الغرض العقدي الديني على الغرض الأدبي الجمالي.
وعلى هذا الأساس تكون دراسة نثر ابن قتيبة من منظور بلاغي إستجابة للأفق الذي شكله هذا النثر نظراً لصدوره عن خلفية فكرية وعقدية تمثل آراء وتصورات الفكر السني، وهو ما يعني أن المؤلف كان يصوغ نصوصه النثرية، كما حاول البحث أن يثبت، في ضوء مقررات العقيدة السنية التي مثلت مضمراً حجاجياً وموجهاً إيديولوجياً انصاعت له بلاغة الخطاب النثري عند ابن قتيبة.
