وفي هذا الكتاب يشرح آرثر ويجنز وتشارلز وين هذه المشكلات الخمس، ثم يناقشان النظريات التي تناولتها، وقد تطرق الكتابان إلى العديد من الموضوعات، منها: نظرية الأوتار، والجينوم البشري، ونظرية الفوضى، وعملية طي البروتين.
