بالعقل تُبنى الحياة ويُقام الوجود، وتنطلق المسيرة الإنسانيّة بكلّ مسؤوليّة، ليكون الإنسان في هذه المسيرة محور الكون، وهذا المحور هو الذي يُمسك بمفاصل الحياة والوجود، ولا يكون ذلك إلا إذا كان الإنسان "عقلاً يفكّر ويُبدع ويخطّط، ومن العقل يتحرّك العلم وينمو ويتطوّر ليطوّر الحياة، ومن العقل يُنتج معنى الرّوح في شخصيّة الإنسان، لأنّ العقل يفتح آفاق الإنسان نحو الله سبحانه وتعالى، لينفتح بذلك كلُّ النور على كيان الإنسان".
هذا ما يقوله سماحة السيّد محمد حسين فضل الله، وقد قام السيد وعلى مدى أكثر من ثلاثة أشهر بإلقاء أربع عشرة محاضرة عن العقل في القرآن الكريم، وذلك في حوزة المرتضى بدمشق، من تاريخ 2003/7/27م إلى تاريخ 2003/10/2م... وهذه المحاضرات هي حلقات من سلسلة محاضرات متكاملة عن العقل في القرآن الكريم وفي السُّنة النبويّة الشريفة وفي نهج بلاغة أمير المؤمنين عليٍّ (عليه السلام)... سيتم نشرها تباعاً.
وقد نُشرت هذه المحاضرات في كتاب الندوة الجزء 12 ويعيد هذا الكتاب نشر هذه الموضوعات وذلك لأهميتها وعمق محتواها وسعة آفاقها الروحيّة والحركيّة والإجتماعيّة والإنسانيّة وما إلى ذلك...
