وبالنظر لما يتمتع به هذا الكتاب من أهمية اعتنى"سعيد محمود عقيل" يذيله بتحقيق لطيف هدفه توضيح ما أبهم من عباراته وما أشكل. كما واهتم بالتعريف بالأعلام البارزة الواردة أسماؤهم في ثناياه، وبالإشارة إلى الأحاديث الشريفة ببعض التخريجات المختصرة، كما واعتنى بتذييل الكتاب بفهارس شاملة للأحاديث الشريفة ولآيات القرآن الكريم وفهارس للأعلام، وأخرى للمواضع وأخرى للموضوعات.
