تعد الرحلة إلى الحج، وتدوين المشاهدات في الطريق إلى مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة؛ مما انتشر عند المسلمين عبر القرون، وما نُشر منها يُمثل نسبة قليلة مما لم يُنشر، وهذه الرحلة التي قام بها صاحبها: مصطفى فقير الله العباسي من قرية تلو ابتداءً من يوم السبت الثاني والعشرين من شهر شعبان سنة 1177ه إلى بلاد الحرمين الشريفين، ثم عودته إلى بلاده ودخوله إلى تلو في العشرين من ربيع الأول سنة 1178هـ، تُعّدُّ أنموذجاً موضحاً للفوائد الجمَّة التي ينتجها هذا النمط من التأليف؛ فقد احتوت على وصف جغرافي للمناطق التي مَرَّ بها في رحلته من مدينة تِلوُ في جنوب تركيا إلى مكة المكرمة، كما أنها مهمة في التعرف إلى الأوضاع الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والدينية في القرن الثاني عشر الهجري للأماكن التي مر بها.
