ويشتغل فناننا الرائع الذي استحق لقب فنان الشعب إلى لون ’خر من الكتابة المسرحية، وذلك بعودته إلى مسرح "القودفيل" أو "مسرح الدار" كما يسميه البعض، وخاصة حين تحمل مسؤولية جسيمة داخل فرقة المسرح الوطني بعد تجارب غنية ومؤثرة له كممثل إلى جانب الفقيد احمد الطيب العلج.
لقد حمل محمد الجم على كاهله مسؤولية مواصلة اشعاع فرقة المسرح الوطني التي سترتبط بإسمه كممثل وكمؤلف منذ أن قدم لها مسرحية "وجوه الخير" سنة 1990، هذه السنة التي ستكون منطلقا لمسيرة غنية وحافلة بإبداعات كوميدية شكلت الحدث الفني في تاريخ المسرح المغربي الاجتماعي الانتقادي وتعتبر مسرحية "وجوه الخير" باكورة الامتدتد الذي عمر إلى حد ال’ن ربع قرن، حيت أتت بعدها مسرحيات عمقت تجربة التأليف عند ةمحمد الجم، ومنها أساسا "ساعة مبروكة" ز"الرجل الذي..." و"جار ومجرور" و..
وفي مسرحية "وجوه الخير" يتناول مؤلفها محمد الجم مظهرا من مظاهر الحياة اليومية في مغرب نهاية القرن العشرين، حيث لا قيمة للإنسان إلا بما لديه من مال وجاه وسلطة، وبالتالي ف‘ن الكل خاصة أصحاب المصالح لا يتعاملون مع غيرهم إلا من منطلق المصلحة التي ينتظرون تحقيقها منهم.
فمسرحية "وجوه الخير" هي نبش ساخر ومفجع في علاقات اجتماعية قائمة على "النفاق الاجتماعي" و "التملق".
وتزداد حدة الصراع في المسرحية حين يكون هذا "النفاق" صادرا من أقرب الأهل والإصحاب.
