الرجل الذي أنا بصدد الحديث عنه، او الكتابة عن بعض الجوانب من تجربته الفنية هو محمد الجم الممثل.. الممثل.. الكاتب.. الإنسان... وكمدخل اجدني مضطرا لتأكيد مقولة –كل لما خلق له- بمعنى أن الجم لم يخلق إلا للمسرح كما يفهمه ويعيشه ويمارسه... فلقد عرفته سنة 1968، أي منذ بداية النهضة الفكرية والسياسية والإبداعية لمسرح الهواة، تم استمرت لقاءاتنا في محطات ومناسبات عديدة،وعبرها اكتشفت فيه حضورة المتميزفوق الخشبة....رغم أنه كان ضمن مجموعة من خيرة الممثلين والممثلات الأكثر نجومية والبراعة في صناعة الفرجة..مما يؤكد أنه كان منذ البداية صاحب مشروع فني خاص ولديه تطلعات للاستمرارية والتطور ...ضمن اللمسة اللازمة لبلوغ مرحلة البصمة فيما بعد رغم المعاناة والاكراهات المتعددة الرؤوس والأوجه والمصادر..أقصد أنه بقدر ما كان تواقا الى ممارسة المسرح كفكر وأدب والتزام ومواقف وشكل من أشكال النضال ... فإنه أدرك وفي سن مبكرة أن السير في هذا الاتجاه محفوف بالمخاطر، لذلك فضل التركيز على مسرح الناس الأكثر قدرة على استجلاب الجمهور الذي يرى المسرح كوجبة للاستمتاع والتسلية..
