اللغة العربية، لغتنا الأم، هي لغة الوصل والتواصل بين الأحفاد والأجداد، بين الجديد والقديم، بين التطور والتراث، لذلك ينبغي إيلاؤها الأهمية التي تستحقها والاعتناء بها والتفاني في حبها ورعايتها كما ترعى الأم وليدها، وكما يرعى الفلاح حقله.
واللغة ليست هدفاً بحد ذاتها، بل هي أداة لنقل المشاعر والأفكار بين البشر، وهي لذلك ليست كائناً جامداً، بل هي كائن حي يتطور كما تتطور الأفكار والمشاعر بين جيل وآخر.
وقد تمكنت اللغة العربية، بما تمتلكه من قدرة على التكيف والتطور، بسبب تركيبها الاشتقاقي وميزاتها المتعددة من نحت وتشكيل وتصوير ومجاز وغيرها، تمكنت من مواكبة التطور، ونجحت في تحقق التواصل بين الناس، بحيث أصبحت وسيطاً اجتماعياً لا يمكن التقليل من أهميته.
وأكثر الناس قدرة على التأثير في نفوس سامعيه، هو من يمتلك مهارة الكلام والخطابة والكتابة، ويستعمل اللغة بمرونة وطواعية في مختلف المجالات. وقد كانت الفعالية الاجتماعية ترتبط بالبلاغة، وهذه لم تكن تحتاج إلى أي أساس مادي، بل تشترط قوالب تعبير بلاغية جيدة عند المتكلم أو الكاتب ليصنف بين المؤثرين في وسطه.
وإذا سلمنا أن الإبداع اللغوي هو ملكة أو موهبة إلهية في الأساس، فلا شك أن التدريب والثقافة هما الأساس الذي لا يستغنى عنه لوضع هذا الإبداع في مكانه المناسب وإضفاء الصورة الملائمة عليه.
لذا كان هذا الكتاب التعليمي "المعين في الإنشاء والتعبير" في ثلاثة أجزاء، وبين يدينا الجزء الأول منه وهو يقدم مواضيع نموذجية للتوسع وأخرى قد جرى التوسع بها من المؤلف حيث قام بذكر نص الموضوع وعناصره بعد ذلك، قام بكتابة الموضوع بأكمله أو أعطى وفي حالات استثنائية فقط نص الموضوع وعناصره والتعابير والمفردات التي يمكن استعمالها حال قيام التلميذ بنفسه بكتابة الموضوع وتطبيقه.
