حرصنا في مركز المسبار للدراسات والبحوث أن يكون هذا الكتاب حول "حزب التحرير" كحركة إسلاميّة لم تنل حقها الوافر من الدراسة بعد، رغم مرور ما يقرب من أربعة وخمسين عاماً على تأسيسها، ورغم كثافة نشاطها وفعالياتها في الغرب والدول الإسلاميّة في الإتحاد السوفييتي السابق، فضلاً عن العديد من الأقطار العربية المختلفة، التي يفتقد فيها الحزب للإعتراف السياسي بإستثناء لبنان، حيث حصل على الشرعيّة الحزبيّة في مايو (أيّار) من عام 2006.
اخترنا لهذا الكتاب مسمّى "حلم الخلافة: حزب التحرير والتمرّد على الدولة" ذلك أن حزب التحرير أو حزب الخلافة، إذا شئنا الدقة، الذي اختزل كل المشكلات الإسلامية في غيابها، وكل الحلول في إستعادتها، وحكم على المجتمعات المسلمة وانظمتها بالكفر، وبرغم أنه توقف عن ممارسة العنف ضدّها، لا شك أنه يستحق الكثير من الدرس، خاصة وأن بعض التحليلات تراه الآن يتجه نحو تحويل عنفه الرمزي إلى عنف مادّي، وجهاده غير القتالي إلى جهاد قتالي، او على الأقل يخرج من جعبته بعض هؤلاء، فمخاض التفجير هو التكفير، وطريق القتل هو الحكم بالكفر، وليس في قاموس حزب التحرير أكثر من مفردتي التكفير والكفر.
يجدر الإشارة أن هذا الكتاب قد أرفق بقرص مدمج (CD).
