تتناول هذه الدراسة سيرة حياة سليمان النابلسيّ كواحد من الشخصيّات السياسيّة التي لعبت دوراً مهماً في تاريخ الأردنّ المعاصر في منعطفات تاريخيّة مفصليّة، وتهدف إلى التعرّف على التكوين الإجتماعيّ والفكريّ والثقافيّ والسياسيّ، الذي أسهم في التأسيس لتوجّهات سليمان النابلسيّ ومواقفه السياسيّة، في محاولةٍ لإستقراء حقائق الحياة السياسيّة ومعطياتها في الأردنّ خلال فترة الدراسة، وذلك من خلال تتبّع دوره ونشاطه السياسيّ ومواقفه بوصفها جزءاً من مسيرة الحركة الوطنيّة الأردنيّة، وتاريخ الأردنّ المعاصر، مع الأخذ بعين الإعتبار الإطار التاريخيّ الذي حكم مسار الدولة الأردنيّة بمعطياته المحليّة والعربيّة والدوليّة، منذ عام 1921، خصوصاً في خمسينيّات القرن الماضي التي مثلت ذروة الحرب الباردة عالميّاً وعربيّاً.
وقد حرصت الدراسة على تجاوز النظرة المنحازة، وتقديم قراءةٍ موضوعيّة في ضوء المصادر والمراجع المتاحة.
لقد مثّل سليمان النابلسيّ نموذجاً خاصاً في تاريخ الأردنّ السياسيّ المعاصر، حيث كان رئيس الوزراء الوحيد الذي حاول التوفيق بين إنتمائه وولائه لوطنه، وإنتمائه وولائه لمبادئه وأفقه القوميّ والإنسانيّ، وكانت سيرته إنعكاساً لواقع الحياة السياسيّة وتفاعلاتها في الأردنّ والوطن العربيّ والعالم.
