بين البنية والدلالة علاقة يبحث فيها ويدرسها الدكتور "سعيد حسن بحيرى"، وذلك من خلال الدراسات اللغوية التطبيقية التى يشملها هذا الكتاب، وذلك فى ثلاثة فصول كان فى أولها دراسة فى أوجه التوافق والتخالف بين البحث اللغوى والبحث الأسلوبى، أما الفصل الثانى فكان فيه من أشكال الربط فى القرآن الكريم تضافر العناصر الإشارية والعناصر الإحالية فى تماسك النص، أما الفصل الثالث والأخير ففيه مدخل به حديث عن الخلاف الفكرى حول ماهية "الإعجاز القرآنى" وأثره فى نشأة مفهوم "النظم" وتطوره، ملاحظات منهجية حول تشكيل المكونات الأساسية لنظرية النظم "معانى النحو"، يلى هذا المدخل موضوع الفصل الثالث وهو طرق تحليل بعض وجوه النظم ومعايير الوصف وأدواته.
