تنوعـت العلوم الخادمـة للسنة النبويـة وتشعبـت؛ فعلوم تخـدم المتن؛ ببيـان غرائب ألفاظـه، وإزالة التعـارض الظاهري بينها. وعلوم تخدم الإسناد بالوقوف علـى رجاله ضبطاً لأسمائهم، وبياناً لدرجاتهم. لكن برز في كل ذلك علم يبحث في دقائق النقد الحديثي للرواية؛ بالكشف عن عللها؛ حتى تميز صحيح الأخبار من سقيمها، ألا وهو علم العلل. والذي انبرى له أئمة محدثون، هم خاصة أهل الحديث ورجاله، فجاءت جهودهم ناصعة في تمحيص الحديث ونقده، وكان لهم في التعبير عن ذلك مقولات نقديـة اعتبـرت الأساس الـذي قام عليه علـم المصطلح الذي ضبـط عمـوم المصطلحات، فحدد مراميها، وبين مقاصدها، وكشف عن قواعدهـا، حتى جـاءت علومه على الصورة المعهـودة فـي كتب أهل الاصطلاح. ولمـا كان الميـدان الواقعي لمثل هذه المصطلحات هو ميدان النقد المباشر للمرويات باستخدامها؛ كان لا بد من الفهم المشترك الجامع بين إطلاقات أهل الاصطلاح، والواقع التطبيقي لاستخدامها، الأمر الذي حتم عليَّ البحث في مصطلح ومقولة كثر الخلاف فيها، فجاءت ميداناً جيداً للتطبيق، وهي: وصفهم بعض الأحاديث بالنكارة.
وجاءت أسباب البحث على النحو الآتي:
ـ أولاً: تباين آراء العلماء في تعريف الحديث المنكر، الأمر الذي يحتم على الباحث الكشف عنه، وسياق الاختلاف فيه.
ـ ثانياً: تعلقه بمباحـث مهمـة في علم العلل؛ نحـو: التفرد والمخالفة؛ ممـا يزيد القارئ اطلاعاً فيه.
ـ ثالثاً: شمولية استخدام هذا المصطلح فـي معرض النقد، وبيـان أوهـام الرواية، سواء كان في السند، أم في المتن، ورسوخ استخدامه لدى أئمة النقد.
مما أشعرني بالحاجة الماسة إلى دراسة نظرية للمباحث المختلفة المتعلقة بالحديث المنكر أولاً، ثم تطلب الأمر البحث عن ميدان يكثر فيه وصف الأحاديث بالنكارة، فأُرشدت ـ بعون الله ورعايته ـ إلى كتاب ’علل الحديث‘ للحافظ المحدث الناقد عبد الرحمن بن الحافظ المحدث الناقد محمد بن إدريس الرازي أبو حاتم، ولعل من أسباب اختيار الكتاب:
ـ أولاً: كونه مصدراً مهماً من المصادر الأولى في نقد الأحاديث.
ـ ثانياً: وضوح ’المنكر‘ فيه وضوحاً تاماً؛ فقد كثر في معرض النقد استخدامه حتى أضحى علامة فارقة على الكتاب.
ـ ثالثاً: أهمية الكتـاب؛ لجلالة أصحابـه ومؤلفيه، وهم: الإمام أبو حاتم الرازي، وأبو زرعة الرازي، وابن أبي حاتم الرازي.
من هنا ـ وبعد الدراسة المتأنية ـ جاء عنوان هذا البحث: ’الحديث المنكر دراسة نظرية وتطبيقية في كتاب ’علل الحديث‘ لابن أبي حاتم‘.
