وهذا المخطوط وغيره يعكس صورة الزركشي العلمية، الصورة التي جمعت الأصول والفقه والحديث والتفسير واللغة والأدب، ومؤلفاته دالة على اتساع ثقافته، وغزارة علمه، وقوة حجته، ووضوح بيانه، وسهولة أسلوبه، وهو الذي تلقى فنون العلوم على شيوخ عصره حتى برز في كل علم، فكان علماً في الفقه، ومعلماً في الأصول، وأستاذاً في التفسير، وإماماً في الحديث، وعالماً في الأدب، وحجة في المسائل والخلافيات.
