إن كثير منا يرى أن تعلم الباترون الأساسي من أصعب الأمور ويستخدم الباترونات الجاهزة، ولمن هناك تصميمات نرغب في تنفيذها ولذلك لابد من تعلم الباترون الأساسي، واقترح أن نقوم بعمل الباترون الأساسي الكامل وباترون للكم وباترون للجونلة على المقاس المحدد على ورق مقوي ويستخدم في تنفيذ أي تصميم حتى لا نلجأ لعمل باترون أساسي عند تنفيذ كل تصميم جديد، وقد قمت بدراسة تطبيقية للوصول إلى أفضل الطرق التي تتلاءم وأجسام السيدات الشرقيات عموماً فوجدت أن باترون بوردا الألمانية يتناسب مع هذا النوع من الأجسام، فقمت بتنفيذ خمسة وعشرون باتروناً من التصميمات المختارة بمقاسات مختلفة بطريقة بروفيلي ثم قامت بمطابقتها بالباترون الجاهز لمجلة بوردا الألمانية.
وعلى هذا قمت بتقسيم الكتاب إلى مقدمة وسبعة أبواب كالتالي: الباب الأول: طرق تنفيذ الباترون الأساسي وتصريف البنسات، الباب الثاني: طرق تنفيذ الجونلات والفساتين، الباب الثالث: طرق تنفيذ الأكمام والأكوال، الباب الرابع: طرق تنفيذ المعاطف والتايورات والبنطلونات، الباب الخامس: طرق تعديل الباترونات الجاهزة، الباب السادس: طرق تنفيذ الملابس الرجالي، الباب السابع: الطرق الصحيحة لتنفيذ الملابس.
