في هذا الكتاب (الكتابات غير القرآنية على النقود الإسلامية في المغرب والأندلس) نتناول الكتابات غير القرآنية التي سجلت على النقود الإسلامية التي ضربتها الدول الإسلامية المتعاقبة في المغرب والأندلس، فقد قمت بحصر كثير من الكلمات والعبارات غير القرآنية التي سجلت على نقود تلك الدول ودراستها في ضوء الظروف والأحداث المختلفة التي كانت سببًا وراء تسجيلها، وكذلك معناها ومدلولها.
وقد قسمت الكتابات غير القرآنية التي وردت على نقود المغرب والأندلس إلى ثلاثة أقسام حسب أسباب تسجيلها والظروف والأحداث المعاصرة لها والتي كانت سببًا في ظهور هذه الكتابات على النقود، والقسم الأول هو الكتابات ذات المدلول الاقتصادي، وهي دراسة للكتابات التي لها دلالة اقتصادية، وترتبط بالأحداث الإقتصادية المهمة للدول المختلفة وأدت إلى نقشها على النقود، أما القسم الثاني فهو يتناول الكتابات ذات المدلول السياسي ويمثل دراسة للكتابات غير القرآنية التي سجلت على نقود المغرب والأندلس نتيجة للأحداث السياسية والعسكرية، والصراعات المذهبية بين الدول المختلفة في المغرب والأندلس، بينما خصصت الجزء الثالث لدراسة الكتابات ذات المدلول الاجتماعي، وهي دراسة للأدعية والشعارات الاجتماعية التي سجلت على نقود الدول المختلفة، وتتصل بالحياة الاجتماعية للحكام والدول المتعاقبة في المغرب والأندلس.
