قد يشعر كل واحد منا في وقت ما بالغيرة شعوراً خفيفاً أو حاداً, وهناك بعض الناس يتعرضون لهذا الشعور أكثر من غيرهم... وهو شعور مؤلم ينتج من فشل الشخص في الحصول علي أمر محبوب كشخص أو مركز أو قوة أو مال ونجاح شخص آخر في الحصول عليه, والغيرة حالة أنفعالية تجتاح الكبير والصغير فينقلب معها إلي نار متأججة تأكل الأخضر واليابس, وتسود معها الدنيا في وجهه, فلا يري إلا ما ينقصه ولا ينظر إلي ما يميزه عن غيره, والغيرة هي العامل المشترك في الكثير من المشكلات النفسية عند الأطفال, ويقصد بها الغيرة المرضية التي تكون مدمرة للطفل وسبباً في إحباطه..
والغيرة أحد المشاعر الطبيعية عند الإنسان كالحب ويجب أن تنقبلها الأسرة كحقيقة واقعة.. ولكن لا تسمح في الوقت نفسه بنموها فالقليل من الغيرة يفيد الإنسان, فهي حافز علي التفوق ولكن الكثير منها يفسد الحياة ويصيب الشخص بآثار وأضرار بالغة كالسلوك العدائي والأنانية والأرتباك والأنزواء والغضب والصراعات النفسية ويرجع الشعور بالغيرة الشديدة - في جزء كبير منه - إلي أستعداد الشخص للغيرة الذي يجعله أكثر من غيره أستهدافاً للشعور بالغيرة, ويجعله يدرك الحرمان أو التهديد بالحرمان في مواقف كثيرة, ويجعله يغضب ويقلق ويحقد علي أشخاص قد يكون بينه وبينهم منافسة حقيقية أو منافسة وهمية من صنع خياله هو.. فقد تشعر الزوجة بالغيرة علي زوجها وتغضب وتشهر بكل امرأة تتحدث معه ولو كانت أمه أو أخته أو ليس له علاقة بها.. ولأهمية الموضوع وخطورته أقدم هذا الإصدار من ثقافة سيكولوجية للجميع نتعرض فيه لتعريف الغيرة, ومتي تبدأ وكيف تنشأ, وأضرارها ووظائفها الإيجابية والسلبية, ومظاهرها, وأنواعها.. وبعض الموضوعات المهمة في الأسرة والغيرة في المدرسة, والغيرة بين الزوجين, والغيرة من منظور ديني.. إسلامي, وأهم طرق الوقاية والعلاج من الغيرة.. إلي جانب بعض الموضوعات الأخري المهمة المتعلقة بالموضوع.. وأتمني من الله سبحانه وتعالي أن أكون قد وفقت في العرض, وأن ينتفع به الجميع المنفعة المرجوة, والله ولي التوفيق.
