الباب الأول وهو : فى التأليف فى اسماء النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عند العرب وسيعالج البحث فيه ما يلي: الفصل الأول: مؤلفات أسماء النبيى صلى الله عليه وسلم دراسة توثيقية.
الفصل الثانى: مناهج التأليف فى الأسماء النبوية فى العربية دراسة فى المنهج والمصادر. ثم يأتى الباب الثانى خالصاً للدراسة اللغوية (اللسانية) وقد تقصر على فصلين: الأول: دراسة فى البنية. والثانى: دراسة دلالية. والدراسة تنظر إلى الأسماء نظرة متسعة تشمل الأسماء والألقاب والكنى والصفات.
