جاءت دراسة الباحث المقدام الدكتور عبد الله العساف، (ثورة البلقاء ومشروع الدولة الماجدية 1923م)، في إطار التأسيس لقراءة نقدية جديدة للأدب التاريخي الوطني الأردني، ووضع الأحداث التاريخية في سياقاتها الصحيحة، من خلال منهجية ورؤية وطنية لتاريخ الشعب الأردني.
تلك الرؤيا التي جرى التآمر عليها وطمسها عمداً منذ أكثر من نصف قرن، عندما بدأت هذه الدراسات الرسمية، بالظهور، الأمر الذي يضعنا أمام مؤرخين جدد امتلكوا الإنتماء الوطني والجرأة والشجاعة البحثية في التصدي لكشف المستور من تاريخنا الوطني.
لقد أعادت دراسة الدكتور العساف الأحداث التاريخية إلى واجهة الأدب السياسي التاريخي من جديد، لتؤسس مع غيرها من الدراسات المشابهة لحركة بحثية جديدة، تعيد الإعتبار لنضالات الشعب الأردني من أجل حياة دستورية وديمقراطية حقيقية، وتؤسس من بعد لإعادة الإعتبار للشخصية الوطنية العروبية الأردنية، التي لم تكن يوماً إقليمية أو جهوية أو فئوية، بل عروبية الإتجاه والبوصلة والهدف وما زالت.
