يستند الكاتب في تدوينه لهذه الليال العشر: إلى الآيات القرآنية والأحاديث النبوية التي تربط الأمة الاسلامية بالحسين عليه السلام ونهضته المباركة وأحقية هذه النهضة في الدفاع عن الإسلام مع بيان لأبعادها التاريخية ونتائجها ودفع الشبهات عنها.
