فتح الساحر كتاباً ضخماً أصفر الأوراق متهرئها و طفق يقرأ فيه كلاماً بلغةٍ غريبةٍ لم يفهمها أيهم, استنتج الجميع أنه يقرأ تعاويذ معينة كفيلة بإحضار هذا الجان, و لكنه يقرأها رأساً على عقب مما جعلها أشبه بلغةٍ مرعبة, رعشةٌ باردةٌ اهتز لها جسد الساحر فدقت قلوب الجميع بخوف و صوته يعلو بقوة, شعر الجميع بصوتٍ خفيض ينتج عن اهتزاز حوائط المنزل بسرعة, دارت الدنيا من حولهم بينما هم يسمعون صوتاً من الشارع يشبه الحفيف, اندفع الجميع نحو النافذة بينما انهمك الساحر في القراءة, أسطوانةٌ شفافةٌ تكوّنت بين السماء و الأرض في منظرٍ أسطوري, من رحمة الله على المواطنين في الشارع أن لا يروه, أسطوانةٌ تشبه تلك التي تظهر في أفلام و روايات الخيال العلمي إلا أنها حقيقية ... فغر الجميع أفواههم و هم يراقبون ذلك الكائن بشع الخلقة الذي يهبط فيها ببطء و هو يتأمل الجميع بنظرات ثقة, نظراتٍ مليئةٍ بالقوة, نظرات احتقارٍ لكل الأجناس التي يعتبرها أدنى منه, استعدّ الجنيّ للهبوط على الأرض إلا أن حظه السيء لم يسعفه, كانت نهاية الأسطوانة تقع بالظبط على بالوعةٍ مفتوحة, لذلك و للأسف لم تمس قدماه الأرض و إنما استمر في الهبوط حتى سقط في البالوعة؛
ضحكاتٌ مجلجلةٌ اندفعت من حلق الزومبي قبل أن يبادره المذؤوب بصفعةٍ قويةٍ على قفاه و هو يهتف به في غضب : " بطّل ضحك و إنزل هاته بسرعة "
