فيما يتعلق بأزمة "دارفور " ساهمت أوراق العمل السبع التى أعدها الخبراء السودانيون ، والنقاشات التي شهدتها جلسات العمل في تعظيم الوعي بالخلفية التاريخية والسياسية والقانونية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والمظاهر الأخرى ذات الصلة بالأزمة ، وأكد تحليل خلفيات الأزمة وأسبابها وتعقيدتها أن الجهود المبذولة حتى الآن بغرض التوصل إلى حل للأزمة قد ذهبت سدى.
ويأتى هذا الإصدار ،مثلت الندوة أبرز الجهود العربية بشأن أزمة دارفور ، ويأتى هذا الإصدار لنشر العروض والمدخلات والتوصيات باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية ،بما يتجاوز هدف تنمية وعى الرأى العام العربى وغيره بجذور وأسباب الأزمة وتطورتها وأحدثها ، والحاجة لإشراك الجميع فى الحوار مع الأطراف الحكومية وغير الحكومية الدولية والإقليمية والسودانية ، باتجاه اتخاذ الإجراءات والأدوار النشطة لإنهاء المأساة الإنسانية ، واستعادة السلم والحماية للسكان فى دارفور ؛ وبالضرورة لكل شعب السودان .
