تتواكب علينا الأيام، وتحمل معها كم لا ينتهي من الأزمات النفسية، وضغوط العمل، وتحديات تواجه الفرد في ذاته وأسرته ومجتمعه، وفي ظل تلك الأجواء المشحونة بالأعباء؛ التي جعلت من الإنسان آلة ميكانيكية في العمل، وفي متتاليات روتين الحياة، التي نشأ منها أمراض مستعصية، وحالات لا تحصى من القلق والتوتر والإكتئاب، والبرود العاطفي في العلاقات ممّا أوجد أفكار حداثية سيكولوجية متنوعة، أخذت تدلو دلوها للخروج من هذه الأنفاق المظلمة، التي أودعت المدنية الحديثة ملايين من البشر في أزقتها وأجوائها الضبابية المختنقة في الواقع الإجتماعي، فما بالنا في الواقع السياسي وما انبثق عنه مجدداً من هستريا الحروب وما يتبعها من سلوكيات لا أخلاقية من الشذوذ الجنسي، والعقد النفسية، أو لنقل السادية التي تتلذذ بتعذيب الضحايا البشرية، وبالأخص في عالمنا العربي المنهك في كافة الأفاق والمجالات.
وقد جاء مشروعي لهندسة الذات، في ظل حلقات متسلسلة، تم نشر جزء منها على شبكة الإنترنت بشكل مقالات لي، في مواقع ثقافية متنوعة، وقد لاقت قبولاً طيباً من جمهور القراء، في العالم أجمع، وبالأخص فئة الشباب، وقد احتفظ لي بحق نسبة هذا المفهوم هندسة الذات "لي" في ظل حلقاتي المتسلسلة، في إبتكار ذاتي رائد من نوعه في مؤسسات الكترونية عربية وغربية.
وأوكد هنا أن هذا المشروع هو مشروع سيكولوجي ذاتي، منسوب لي، وحتى هذه اللحظة لم يخرج إلى حيز إعتماده أكاديمياً في الجامعات.
