قبل حوالي سبع سنوات، تحدث كثيرون عن أهمية مشروع "مقاطعة البضائع الأميركية" في دعم المقاومة الإسلامية، ومواجهة أميركا والكيان الصهيونى، وكان ذلك ضمن موجه شعبية في لبنان بتحريك من المساجد، أمكنها أن تقطع أشواطاً ملفته في وقت قصير، ولكن سرعان ما انطفأت شعلتها تحت تأثير عجز الكثيرين عن التحرر من أسر العادة، وبشكل خاص العادة على سلعتين أميركيتين هما البيبسي والمارلبورو... اللتان تهدد الآن هذا المشروع المصيري.
وقبل حوالى سنة ونصف طرح موضوع المقاطعة مجدداً وتحدث عنه كثيرون. وبدوره الشيخ حسين كوراني قدم آنذاك مقاربة تحت عنوان "مقاطعة البضائع الأميركية" كان الهدف منها -كما ضمنت- التأكيد على التقاط الفرصة السانحة في الإفادة في المد الجماهيري الذي أطلقته انتفاضة الشعب الفلسطيني في البلاد العربية والإسلامية. بما يعزز روح التضامن والممانعة في الأمة. ويوظف ذلك في مشروع النهضة والتحرر والتحرير...
أما مضمون المحاضرة فدار حول مجموعة من العناوين الرئيسية وهي الحركات الثورية والتحديات، في المنطلقات والأهداف، بين الجدوى والإدمان، جدوى المقاطعة، البعد النفسي، الحلم باقتصاد وطني الزراعة في بلادنا الرد على هدر ثورة النفط، البعد الثقافي، البعد التربوي، البعد السياسي...
وهذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا يحتوي على نص هذه المحاضرة مضافاً إليها مجموعة من الملاحق والتي هي عبارة عن مداخلات قدمت في ندوات شتى عقدت بعضها في بيروت والبعض الآخر في دمشق.
