Book Description
"أي مدينة لا تدلنا امرأةً منها على أسرارها الأولى؛ ستظلّ مدينةً مجهولة بالنسبة إلينا؛ حتى لو عشنا فيها دهرنا؛ أو زرناها مرةً تلو مرة... "كلما تذكرت مدينتي؛ أتذكر منها شيئين: أمّي؛ وابنة جيراننا التي أحببتها مطلع مراهقتي؛ ثم أتذكر... ما تبقى من معالمها وأسواقها وإيقاع الحياة فيها".
بالحب وحده تبوح المرأة عن نفسها وعن أسرار مكانها؛ بالحب وحده تستمر المدن على وجه البسيطة؛ وبالكراهية يقتتل الرجال؛ وتدول دولهم؛ فلا يربحون أزمنتهم؛ ولا وجوه المدن - النساء المشتهاة".
بهذه العبارات يقدم الكاتب السوري نجم الدين سمان قصصه عن (المدن النساء)، تبدو فيها المرأة مصدراً للإلهام، ومساحة للبوح، أما المدن فهي فضاء للتجلي وحالة من التوهج خارجاً عن نار التكوين الأرضي، يتمظهر وسط هذا كله زمن الطفولة المستعاد كبديل عن الحاضر، ففي القصص ذلك الشيء الذي تحسه نابتاً من أرض الشام من زمن جميل ربما لن يعود "صباحية يوم العيد... استيقظنا مبكرين على غير عادتنا، ارتدينا ملابسنا الجديدة، ناولتنا أمهاتنا الجوارب التي ضيّعناها؛ قبّلنا أيدي الآباء والأمهات، الأعمام والعمّات، الأخوال والخالات، والجدة الوحيدة الباقية على قيد العمر".
وإذا كان ولع السمان الشديد بعوالم الطفولة جاء واضحاً في النص القصصي، كذلك، تأتي النساء لتؤثث فضاء رومانسي أخاذ، فتأخذ فيه المرأة / الحبيبة شكل الغادة الهيفاء في النصّ وهنا لا يخفي السمان هوسه المفرط بعوالم الرومانسية، حيث يصرح بنسائه اللاتي عرفهن في كل قصة "... من أنا... في مرآتك؟... لتبوح بكينونتي... كما تراها وتحسّ بها، لا تزال ترصدني بعين أنوثتها، ولا تزال تختبر ما وراء كلماتي، وتفتش ما بين السطور، كأنها تحمي أنوثتها من مغامرةٍ جديدة...".
عناوين القصص هي: "بحثيتا"، "12 فنجان قهوة"، "شال من النارنج والحرير الصيني"، "عينا نفرتيتي"، "3 رسائل في الهوى والهيام"، "شاي جزائري بالنعناع"، "أليسار قرطاج"، "شوكو... سويسرول".
