هذا هو كتاب أسباب الظفر والانتصار لمؤلفه عبد الرحمن بن نجم بن عبد الوهاب المعروف بابن الحنبلي ت 634 ذكر فيه مؤلفه ثلاثين سببًا من أسباب النصر في الجهاد؛ ومن ثم فالكتاب مكتوب لطائفة بعينها وهم المجاهدون دون القاعدين، وأْميز ما في الكتاب أن صاحبه ينتمي- كما بقول المحقق- إلى عصر الإفاقة الإسلامية من كبوتها وقت الغزو الصليبي، مشاركًا المؤلف صلاح الدين الأيوبي في العديد من مواجهات الصليبيين، ومن ثم تتلاقى النظرية- المتمثلة في كتابه- مع التطبيق الفعلي- المتمثل في جهاده المسلح- عند ابن الحنبلي، كما تلاقت أيضًا بعده عند ابن تيمية في كثير من فتاويه ومجابهته للظلم الحاصل آنذاك ولكثير من التيارات الفكرية، كما نلحظ ذلك التمازج بين النظرية والتطبيق عند الدمياطي في كتابه (مصارع الأشواق) ومقتله في إحدى المعارك المسلحة، مما أضفى على هذه المؤلفات وأشباهها صبغة تختلف- أو تتقارب بحسب درجة التمازج- عن كثير من المؤلفات في الموضوع ذاته، تتمثل هذه الصبغة مثلًا في صدق العبارة ووقعها في النفس إضافة إلى عنصر التجربة الشخصية والرؤية عن مباشرة، وعلى الرغم من بساطة الفكرة- إذا قورنت بواقعنا المتشعب المعقد- التي قد تنطوي عليها إحدى هذه الكتابات؛ إلا أنها كانت عصارة أذهان وعقول حققت نصرًا عظيمًا مازالت أمم الكفر تكتوي بها نارًا، وكفى بذلك فخرًا وفخارًا.
