"غربة البنفسج" مجموعة شعرية رائعة جاءت باللغتين العربية والإنكليزية للشاعر عمد الحميد القائد، إرتكز فيها الشاعر على مقاربة نفسية- تأملية، لينسج من خيوطها حكايته الخاصة، جسّدها شعراً يُقرأ بأسلوبه الخاص، وسخريته المبطنة، وبتعابيره التي إنطوت على غربة شاعر مرهف الإحساس يلامس بشفافيته أوجاع الناس، وأفراحهم، فجاءت "غربة البنفسج" قصيدة من أروع ما كتب في هذه المجموعة. يقول فيها: "أنا الحي الميت/ الميت الحي/ القاتل المقتول/ الغريب المتغرب/ أنا البنفسج المحمول/ على أسرجة خيول/ تائهة في البراري/ تنتظر فرسانها المتعبين/ على سحابة تبعث عن نيزك/ والريح لا تهب إلا قاسية". أما قصيدة "دفء" نقرأ منها أبياتاً ملؤها الحب والرغبة. مجموعة شعرية رائعة، لشاعر معاصر يكتب باللغتين العربية والإنكليزية، يعبر عن كتاباته عن الشعر العربي الحديث، فكان خير من كتب وخير من أبدع.
