وفقنا الله إلى تحقيق كتاب (بحر الكلام في أصول الدين) لأبي المعين النسفي، ومن خلال دراستنا لكتاب بحر الكلام تعرفنا على شروحه، والتي من أهمها كتاب: (غاية المرام في شرح بحر الكلام) للإمام ابن بقيرة بدر الدين الحسن المقدسي، والذي برع في تحليل كتاب بحر الكلام وشرحه، فلم يترك نصًا إلا وتدخل فيه، ولم يداخل النص في الشرح كما فعل بين أبي الشريف مثلًا في المسامرة على المسايرة لابن الهمام الحنفي، أو كما فعل أيضًا مع كتاب المواقف، ولكن بدا ابن بقيرة موضوعيًا، حيث وضع نص بحر الكلام أولًا ووضحه بقوله: قال المصنف.
وبعد أن ينتهي من كلام المصنف يحدد كلامه بقوله: أقول...، ويأخذ في شرح الكتاب شرح العالم الفاهم المدقق المحقق، الذي لم يقتصر على مجرد عرض النص وتحليله من الناحية اللغوية، وإنما استعان بآراء غيره من الأئمة مدعمًا لفكرة الكتاب.
ولما طالعنا الكتاب بما فيه من هذه الطريقة، رأينا أن نقوم بتحقيقه، من خلال أربع نشخ خطية، إحداها نسخت من نسخة المؤلف نفسه كما نص على ذلك الناسخ، وقد راعينا في تحقيقنا المنهج العلمي المتمثل في إخراج نص الكتاب بصورة ولغة صحيحة، والتعليق على ما ينبغي التعليق عليه، وتخريج ما ينبغي تخريجه، وترجمة للأعلام والفرق والمذاهب... إلخ.
