يعيش الكاتب الدكتور سامي عصاصة في ميونيخ منذ أكثر من خمسين عاما، أثرى خلالها المكتبة العربية والألمانية بعدد من الكتب الهامة التي حملت خلاصة أفكاره، حتى وصل عددها إلى ثلاثين كتابا متنوعا في الأدب والسياسة والاقتصاد.
باكورة كتب سامي عصاصة كانت كتاب "عربدة سياسية"، تلاه بكتاب "أسرار الانفصال بين سوريا ومصر".
ثم تبعه بسلسلة لاحقة من الكتب المتنوعة في الفكر والسياسة والتراث والاقتصاد والسيرة الذاتية والأدب الروائي، منها علي سبيل المثال، كتاب "مفتاح العالم القديم"عن فلسطين، وكتاب "هل انتهت حرب الخليج"؟، ثم كتاب "البورصة المعولمة غول العصر"، و"هل يستعبد الرجال المرأة"، و"طرائف في حياة مغترب"، ورواية "القديسة"، وكلها مؤلفات كتبها في ميونيخ، بعضها باللغة الألمانية أو العربية، والبعض الآخر باللغتين معا.

تتوفر لدى المؤلف قناعة بأن "هل التلمودية دين؟" كتاب ربما سيشكل حجر الزاوية في تاريخ مقاومة البشرية ليهودية لا تدين في الحقيقة بأي دين سمح كما سيتضح للقارئ من خلال فصول هذا الكتاب. والمؤلف لم يقصد إلغاء هذه الديانة من قواميس الأديان العريقة، وإنما سيميز وبجرأة غير مألوفة بين دين يهودي إنساني يعتمد على الوصايا العشرة وما يترتب عليها من قيم وتوصيات وأحكام، وبين التوصيات التلمودية التي لا يمكن لها أبداً أن تمثل واحدة من الديانات التي تدعو إلى الخير منذ آدم وحواء حتى قيام الساعة.
إن هذا الكتاب يطالب الفكر البشري بفقء الدملة التي تستند على الخوف من يهود التلمود الذين لا يرون أمامهم سوى أخياراً يهوداً وأغياراً قمامة!! وانطلاقاً من المقولة: "من فمك أو دينك" يمضي المؤلف في تقليب صفحات كتاب شاحاك الذي يأتي بالدليل القاطع على أن التعايش مع يهودية التلمود مستحيل، ومن خلال إعادته لقراءة فصول كتاب شاحاك يقتبس المؤلف العديد من النصوص الواردة فيها ليناقشها بصراحة وليأتي بعدئذ باستنتاجات سافرة التي لم يشأ شاحاك بلوغها المباشر الذي توصل المؤلف إليه. ونظراً للأهمية التي يتمتع بها هذا الكتاب: موضوعاً، منهجاً، بحثاً، فقد صدر في هذه الطبعة بترجمته الإنكليزية.
