يعتبر هذا الكتاب - الموسوعة، خزانة فريدة في الكمالات المحمدية، وتعداد مزايا سيد الوجود الظاهرة، وبعض الباطنة، صلى الله عليه وسلم، بحيث ندر، بل يكاد يعدم، ما كتب على منواله، مع علم جم، وتحقي واسع، وروح صافية عاشقة في الجناب المحمدي صلى الله عليه وسلم، بحيث لا غنى للمحب العاشق عنها، ولا بديل للباحث في موضوعها سواها.
يتحدث هذا الكتاب المبارك عن إقتران كلمتي الشهادة: لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله، وهما الكلمتان اللتان قام بهما الدين، واعتلت سننن المهتدين، ورفع الله بهما لواء الباطل فكان زهوقاً.
فاقتران الكلمتين الشريفتين هو تكامل الشريعة، وإمتزاج منبعيها وهما الكتاب والسنّة المنتجان لها، وإنصهار سلسلة علم الملك الذي نعيشه ونراه، بعالم الملكوت الرباني الذي نؤمن به غيباً ولا نراه.
ولذلك؛ من آمن بالله تعالى ولم يؤمن بكتابه فلا إيمان له، ومن آمن بالله تعالى ولم يؤمن بالنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فلا إيمان له كذلك، ومن آمن بالنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ولم يؤمن بسنته فلا إيمان له.
وتبلغ أهمية كتاب "مطالع السعادة" - خاصة في العصر الحالي - في بلورة العقيدة الأساسية للإسلام، والرد على الماسونيين والحداثيين وأذنابهم القائلين بالإله الواحد الذي يؤمن به جميع الأديان، وما سوى ذلك إنما هو ثقافة إجتماعية وإنسانية لا يضر الإختلاف فيها، وأن الإيمان بالنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ليس شرطاً في الإيمان.
وكذلك الرد على القائلين بضياع الحديث والسنّة، وعدم الإيمان بها، وأنها اندثرت بإندثار الصحابة الكرام، كما يصرح به علمانية مدعي الإسلام في هذا العصر، وهو الأمر البعيد كل البعد عن نفحات الإسلام.
كما أنه يعد كتاباً أساسياً في الرد على أعداء الإسلام الحاليين.
وهو في خصوص موضوعه رد على بعض الطرق الصوفية التي آثرت أثناء الذكر إفراد كلمة التوحيد عن الإيمان بالنبوة قصداً، من أجل إعتقادهم زيادة الأولى أهمية عن الثانية، وهذا الكلام - وإن كان ظاهرياً صحيحاً من حيث الإيمان بالمربوب إنما هو وسيلة للإيمان بالرب تعالى - فهو غير صحيح البتة من حيث أنه لا إيمان بالله تعالى إلا بالإيمان بنبيه صلى الله عليه وسلم.
