أفرد الحافظ ابن رجب الحنبلي كتاباً أسماه "استنشاق نسيم الأنس من نفحات رياض القدس" جمع فيه ما ورد في القرآن الكريم، والسنة النبوية. وما ثبت عن سلف الأمة ومن سلك مسلكهم من الأئمة في محبة الله-وعلامات هذه المحبة، وطرقها، ولوازمها، ومقتضياتها. وقسم الكتاب إلى اثني عشر باباً: تحدث في الأول في لزوم محبة الملك القدوس وتقديمها على حب الأموال والأولاد والنفوس، أما الباب الثاني فخصصه لبيان أن من اعظم المطالب وأهمها سؤال الله تعالى محبته على أكمل الوجوه وأتمها، أما الباب الثالث فخصصه لذكر الأسباب التي يستجلب بها الإنسان محبة رب الأرباب. بعد ذلك تحدث في الباب الرابع عن علامات المحبة والصادقة، وفي الباب الخامس عن استلذاذ المحبين بكلام محبوبهم وأنه غذاء قلوبهم، وفي الباب السادس عن أنس المحبين بالله وأنه ليس لهم مقصود في الدنيا والآخرة سواء. أما الباب السابع فأفرده لبيان مناجاة المحبين لمولاهم الملك الحق المبين. في حين خصص الثامن لذكر الشوق إلى لقاء الله. والتاسع تذكر رضا المحبين بالقضاء حلوه ومره. أما الفصل العاشر فضمنه حديث عن خوف العارفين, والحادي عشر منزلة أهل الحب. أما الثاني عشر والأخير فضمّنه نبذ من كلام أهل المحبة.
هذا وقد جاء الكتاب محققاً بقلم الدكتور "أحمد عبد الرحمن" وتجلى عمله بـ: أولاً: تصحيح ما وقع في النص من أخطاء، ثانياً: توثيق نصوص المخطوطة بمراجعة مصادرها التي اعتمد عليها المؤلف، ثالثاً: ترقيم الآيات القرآنية وذك أسماء السور، رابعاً: تخريج الأحاديث النبوية، خامساً: التعليق على مضمون النص، وشرح ما اشتمل عليه من غريب الألفاظ، سادساً: تدوين ترجمة لبعض الأعلام التي جاء ذكرها في النصوص، سابعاً: وضع فهارس عامة لتيسير الاستفادة من الكتاب وجعله ميسور التناول.
