فحتى نفهم أبعاد الموقف الغربي من الأسلام وخلفيات الصورة الغربية عن الإسلام وخلفيات الصورة الغبية عن الأمة الإسلامية ولمعالجة هذه المشكلة بعيدا عن السطحية والإختزال والتزييف نحتاج إلى شهادات غربية من العلماء والمفكرين الغربين المنصفين الذين تناولوا هذا الموضوع وفي هذا الإطار نقدم إلى الباحثين والقراء هاتين الدراستين عن "صورة الإسلام في التراث الغربي". الأولى: كتبها المفكر الالماني "هروبرت هيركومر" عن صورة اللإسلام في الأدبالألماني الوسيط والثانية: كتبها المستشرق الألماني "جيرنوت روتر" عن الألمانية مع تعليقات غنية -باحث مصري نابه يعيش في زيوريخ بسويسرا هو الإستاذ ثابت عيد.
